My Story Ouro – Lisbon Portugal

My Story Ouro is located in the heart of Lisbon.  There are two My Story hotels in Lisbon and the one I visited was the Ouro.  It is located near the main square.  This hotel is easy to get to from the airport all you have to do is hop on Aerobus 1 the stop is about two blocks down from the hotel and across the street.

I was able to check in and do all the paperwork as soon as I arrived but my room was not ready and actual check-in wasn’t until 2pm.  They did offer to hold my luggage while I explored the city.  This is always an added bonus if you can’t check-in because at least you don’t have to drag your luggage with you.  After 2pm I returned to the hotel for check-in.  The room I was was very small and I would not recommend it for two people as it would have been a tight fit.  My reservation was for one person so maybe they specifically put me in that room.  My stay included free in room wifi and a safe.  There was also a mini-bar/refrigerator.  The view out of the room was right down onto one of the main streets.  It was a good view and when I closed the doors I could not hear the sounds from the street (which is a good thing).  For my one night stay the cost was $108.35 per night with $6.50 taxes and fees.  I paid in USD not euros.  There was an additional bed tax at the hotel of 1 euro per person per night.  This is added on in some foreign countries and is usually paid in cash. I recall doing this in Venice also.

All in all the hotel was very nice and everyone was very friendly.  I would definitely recommend staying here.
