I know it has been a while and life has been hectic.  Here is an update from on the rental car.  After much bitching and moaning and complaining we have received a $104 credit from Sixt.  They had charged us almost $200 for gas because we did not fill up the tank.  They charged almost $4.00 per liter and a liter in Europe is about $1.50 per liter so they charged us double.  Now they have given us a refund.  I am glad for the refund but I will not rent another car from them because of all of the confusion and the lack of customer service.  It took over a month to get this straight.
